Here at Blanksn Jewellery, the founder Jessica Blankson designs all our jewellery pieces based on current trends and around female inspiration.
See below the six steps it takes to design jewellery:
-
Conceptualise your design: Start by identifying the purpose of your jewellery and the desired aesthetic. Consider factors such as colour, shape, and materials.
-
Sketch your ideas: Use a pencil and paper to create rough sketches of your designs. This will help you visualise your ideas and make changes before moving on to the next step.
-
Choose your materials: Select the materials that best suit your design and budget, such as precious metals, gemstones, beads, and wire.
-
Create a detailed drawing: Use a ruler and compass to create a more accurate and detailed drawing of your design.
-
Make a prototype: Use your materials and tools to create a physical prototype of your design. This will give you a better sense of the finished product and help you make any necessary adjustments.
-
Refine your design: Evaluate your prototype and make any necessary changes to your design. Repeat the process until you are satisfied with the final product.
